Interested in joining the HHA Board of Directors? We are accepting nominations for five open seats on the 2027 Board!
To submit your nomination, please provide:
- Your Name
- Your street address and contact information
- A statement of up to 100 words explaining why you would like to serve on the HHA Board
Nominations may be submitted through the online Board Nomination Form below, by email, by mail, or hand-delivered to the HHA office.
All nominations must be received by Tuesday, October 27 at 3:00 PM
What Does the HHA Board Do?
The HHA Board of Directors is the governing body of the Association, responsible for providing leadership and oversight and helping guide HHA’s work in furtherance of its purpose and the priorities established for the neighborhood through HHA’s Master Plan.

Help carry forward HHA’s longstanding work to improve quality of life while protecting the predominantly residential and historic character of Heritage Hill.

Take an active role in HHA events, projects, committees, and fundraising efforts that support the Association and bring the community together.
HHA’s Master Plan provides direction for the Association’s work in areas including historic preservation, land use and development, traffic and parking, housing, relationships with institutions and surrounding neighborhoods, public safety, education, and neighborhood engagement. What to Expect as a Board Member?
Serving on the HHA Board is an active volunteer commitment. Board members take on responsibilities such as:
- Attend and actively participate in monthly Board meetings
- Help carry out HHA events, initiatives, and other activities
- Listen to and bring neighborhood perspectives into Board discussions, and help communicate HHA’s work back to the community
- Chair or serve on an HHA committee
- Support HHA’s fundraising efforts and identify opportunities to strengthen the organization’s financial sustainability
- Help guide HHA’s policies, goals, and priorities and ensure the Association’s work aligns with its bylaws, Master Plan, established policies, and Board decisions
Being a Board member is also an opportunity to learn more about Heritage Hill, meet and work with neighbors and community partners, and contribute your own skills, interests, and perspective to the work of HHA.
Who Can Serve?
The HHA Board consists of up to 15 Directors. You do not need a particular professional background or previous Board experience to get involved. We welcome people with different experiences, perspectives, interests, and skills who care about Heritage Hill and want to contribute
Eligibility Requirements
Candidates for the HHA Board must be active members of the Heritage Hill Association.
Heritage Hill residents age 18 or older are automatically HHA members. Non-residents may also become members by making the annual membership contribution established by the Board.
HHA employees and staff members are not eligible for election to the Board.
Board Terms
Directors serve three-year terms and may serve no more than two consecutive full terms.

Elections
Board elections will take place at HHA’s Annual Party and Membership Meeting on Tuesday, December 1, 2026 at 6:00 PM.
Once location is confirmed, it will be added to the website and published in the November/December Heritage Herald.
