A jolly time at the Holiday Potluck/Annual Meeting
Heritage Hill neighbors and friends gathered and celebrated our shared place on December 6th; A fun night with laughter and applause around the communal table.
A power point highlighted the Heritage Hill Association’s touch points in 2016; new 2017 Board members were welcomed – Lisa Baars, Wesley Beck, Mary McCarthy-Fuller, and Charles Roelofs. 2016 Distinguished Service Awards recognized Suzanne DeHaan, Erin Shupe, Deanna Smith, Charles and Chelsea Roelofs, Andy Brookhouse, Dave Eppleheimer, Marie and Kim Koster, Mary Robinson, and Craig Nobbelin for their amazing service to our neighborhood.
A standing ovation greeted representatives of Grand Rapids Public Schools, John Helmholdt, Dr. Wendy Falb, and Dr. Dan Gordan, for “righting the wrong” and demolishing the former Tech Center/City High at the corner of Fountain and College. Also celebrated was the first increase in GRPS’ school enrollment in 20 years.
Many thanks to Martha’s Vineyard for supplying the holiday cheer and to GRCC for its hospitality in opening their campus. And to Santa for stopping by!
