- Comments: Grand Rapids Herald 1920: Residence just finished on Avalon Terrace. The new residence of Mr. William H. Kinsey has just been completed on Avalon Terrace SE. The plans for the home were drawn by Harvey H. Weemhoff and it is a very complete and convenient home. The house is 41 feet long and 30 feet wide over all. The plans are unique and original as will be seen by the accompanying floor plans. The first floor contains a sun porch with casement windows, a reception room with coat closet, large living room with a brick fireplace and built-in bookcases, dining room with built-in china case, a breakfast room in Pullman style accessible from the kitchen or dining room. The ice box is filled from the outside porch. The second floor has three bedrooms, dressing room. The owner's room, dressing room and bath are in (can't make it out). The upper floor is finished in ivory and oak and mahogany. The basement has a laundry, coal room and fruit cellar. The home is heated with a Miller combination heating system.
