Fuller, the first president of the Michigan State Horticultural society was a native of Geneseo, Livingston County, New York, born January 29, 18818 and received his education from the Dr. Beck at Albany. In the spring of 1836 he came to Michigan, passed the summer in traveling over the state and in the autumn settled in Grand Rapids as a surveyor and civil engineer. He found employment here and elsewhere on some of the most important state work and assisted in Laying out in the city of Grand Rapids.
