- Comments: Grand Rapids Herald - November 27, 1921 shows views of the house owned by J. G. Lloyd Alexander before and after renovations. "The home was remodeled in the colonial style from plans prepared by Herry H. Weemhoff, architect. The changed involved removal of the old front porch and three steep gables. Some shifts were made in the inside partitions. A new entrance doorway with vestibule was built and a sun porch added. Also a colonial mantel was installed in the living room. A stone fireplace is built in the basement billiard room. The garage occupied the space formerly taken by the old kitchen. A new kitchen and breakfast room occupy the space formerly used as a dining room. The living room is to the left of the entrance and the new dining room is to the right. The house has new modern plumbing and is finished throughout in old ivory. Miller Furnace company installed combination heating plant."
