We invite you to a timely discussion with our Ward 2 Commissioners, Milinda Ysasi and Lisa Knight, regarding pending City of Grand Rapids zoning ordinance changes. We have 2 opportunities for you to engage with your commissioners:

WHO: Ward 2 (north of Wealthy) Commissioners Milinda Ysasi and Lisa Knight 

WHEN: Saturday, March 9, 10AM-11:30AM

LOCATION: Central Reformed Church, 10 College Ave NE.

This is a unique opportunity for you to share input regarding our neighborhood, ask questions pertaining to the implementation of these zoning changes, as well as hear directly from your City Commissioners about their own positions on the issues.  Although Commissioners Knight and Ysasi represent Ward 2 (neighbors north of Wealthy), anyone is welcome to attend in order to better understand the issues and process and reach out to your own Commissioners for further insights.

PLEASE SEND YOUR QUESTIONS TO US AHEAD OF TIME via heritage@heritagehillweb.org . This will allow the commissioners to better understand the concerns in advance and it will allow us to streamline and maximize the time we have with them. There will be materials available to write questions and submit them to the commissioners on site before the start of the meeting. There will also be time at the end for follow-up questions from those in attendance.

The City Planning Commission will formally present its recommendations to all City Commissioners on March 19, which will include an opportunity for public comment. A formal vote on the recommended changes is expected as early as April 9.
